This month has been quite a rollercoaster for all of us! We came off a pandemic-altered Halloween and shot right into a seemingly never-ending presidential election. Then we topped it off with newly intensified restrictions and a cozy, though smaller, Thanksgiving gathering than most of us have ever had. Let's take a moment to reflect on what we learned from it all, and maybe on how we can move into the finalé of 2020 with a feeling of completion...
What I'm reflecting on: Alcohol
I seem to have brought my tolerance level up to that of a 300 pound linebacker during this COVID-19 shutdown. Every year I quit drinking between my daughter's birthday and Thanksgiving, but this year I needed it more than ever. At the end of those 4 weeks I found that I really didn't miss it all that much. While I enjoy a nice glass (or two) at the end of the day, I think I do better saving it for the weekends.
Question I've gotten a lot recently: "How do I know if I have food sensitivities?"
Whether it be itchy eczema, bloating, or unexplained pimples, we all wonder from time-to-time if we have food sensitivities/allergies. Depending on the severity of your symptoms, I can help you figure out the best way to sleuth it out. Maybe we take a look at how your immune system is reacting by running some lab tests. Or, I can help you scientifically put yourself through an elimination diet (and reintroduction). Please reach out if I can help!
